The History of
The Art Incubator
The very first Art Incubator location opened in the KCMO River Market in 2022! Co-Owners & AUC graduates, Taylor Burris Spikes and James Spikes III, began their entrepreneurial journey as two creatives gathering resources to better serve their customers. In 2020 they merged their business to form The IRIS Creative Projects Agency. As their clientele grew so did their need for more quality tools, space, and resources. Thus, their daughter company, The Art Incubator, was founded to alleviate these problems for themselves and for all creatives growing in their pursuits. It has quickly become the community's home for creative growth. With plans to expand they are set to open their newest location in Kansas City's growing Midtown district.
